Happy May! Some quick updates: 1. I got promoted! Which is super exciting and stressful at the same time. While I'm not excited as I'm supposed to (because this promotion is like a 'rite of passage' for my line of work, basically graduating from the 'trainee' phase to the full on 'consultant' phase, and shit gets real from now on) it has still been a good news to start the month and I'm truly thankful to my team who has been nothing but supportive. It's quite amazing when I go out with friends now and 90% of the work-related conversations would revolve around complaints regarding bosses and co-workers (which is definitely a normal thing), I genuinely have nothing bad to say about them (except for the small quirks which I guess are normal and not detrimental like some of the other things I've experienced/heard). It's been humbling and made me feel super grateful and hopefully motivated to work hard now that the real shit starts lol.
