Thinking of getting a good starter camera that is good for travelling and also taking more professional-looking shots. Any recommendations?

I have had my eyes on the Sony a6000. Anyone has had experience with this? I'm basically looking for a mirrorless camera (mainly due to its portability, DSLR can be a drag and I don't think I need that yet) with a budget of SGD 800 (or less, of course). Something that can be useful for beginners to learn about photography and the technicality of things. Appreciate any help out there! :)

Decisions

I really don't like making decisions. It's worse when it's an important life decision - for example, my job. When I left my previous job, I was adamant on what I want and what I don't want. But yet, after 1.5 months of being unemployed and only getting a few interviews - and I am thankful for that, considering the job search circumstances and the market right now - my aspirations suddenly become blur again. Between that "following your dreams", which in itself is kind of a dream, and being a realistic adult, it is difficult to decide whether taking a risk is worth it. At the same time, it is not like I am going back to the exact same environment (we all know how I felt about that particular place), but it is similar, so I don't know what is going to be the result at the end of the day. But then, who will ever know? Beggars cannot be choosers, though. Ugh.
Thinking of merging my other blog into this one to avoid confusion and it's not like I can keep up with either one anyway, so isn't it just better to have one? (Oh and Blogger themes have been looking a lot better, so more reasons to move over LOL)

Back to werk 2017

Happy new year everyone! Just a quick blog post on a few random thoughts that I have as the new year break is about to come to an end and I'll have to go back to work tomorrow. 1. I'm still super lucky because I had the whole of last week of December (basically from Christmas to New Year) off, and even today (public holiday in lieu, and some of my friends are already back at work.) Counting my blessings. 2. Although the off week was supposed to be to rest and recharge, I spend most of if (almost every day) dancing, so I don't know how rested physically I am, but emotionally and spiritually I guess it has been a big help. 3. It's interesting how everyone is trying to be cool by denouncing things like New Year Resolutions and the whole "New Year New Me" thing - I guess it's understandable that those things can get annoying but hey, people deal with transitions and changes differently and if that makes them kickstart their new year better, why rain on
